TRICARE Reserve Select

The TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS) program is a premium-based health plan that Overseas National Guard and Reserve members may qualify to purchase. Qualifying members can purchase TRS member-only OR member-and-family coverage. Monthly premiums apply.

Detailed TRS program benefits and eligibility requirements are available at www.tricare.mil/Welcome/Plans/TRS.aspx.

TRS beneficiaries are responsible for paying cost-shares as well as an annual deductible. You should expect to pay up-front for care and submit a claim to International SOS for reimbursement. Click here to find a provider in your location.

How Do I Enroll in TRS?
To enroll in TRS, please visit the Guard and Reserve Web Portal to complete a TRS Request Form and follow the instructions on how to complete the enrollment application.

Once you have completed the online application, please print and sign the enrollment form and mail or fax it to the following International SOS address along with your two-month premium payment:

    PO Box 11689
    Philadelphia, PA 19116
    Fax: +1-215-354-5015
What will my premiums be?
Type of Coverage TRS 2013 Premium Rates TRS 2014 Premium Rates
Member-only $ 51.62 /mo $ 51.68 /mo
Member-and-Family $195.81 /mo $204.29 /mo

How do I pay my premiums after I am enrolled?
Payments are due no later than the last day of each month, and are applied to the following month of coverage.
  • Premium payments are only accepted by automatic payment via debit/credit card or electronic funds transfer.
  • You may be charged a fee of up to $20.00 for insufficient or unavailable funds.
Failure to pay premiums by the date due will result in suspension of coverage effective the last day of the month last paid. The suspension may become a retroactive termination and a 12-month lockout from the last paid-through date will be applied. How do I submit a request for re-enrollment after involuntary disenrollment?
TRS beneficiaries now have 90 days from the end of the month during which the last full premium was paid to pay past due premiums before they need to submit a request for consideration to re-enroll in the TRS program if they are involuntarily disenrolled due to delinquency of payment. For late initial enrollment or late change due to qualifying life event (QLE), please complete a reconsideration request form and submit to International SOS (instructions are included with form).
