<h2>NEAR PATIENT PROGRAM (NPP)</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The {fontweight=500:Near Patient Program (NPP)}<b> </b>is available in certain overseas locations (see full list below). </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">{fontweight=500:Near Patient}<b> </b>teams comprise both clinical and non-clinical staff who assist beneficiaries navigate the overseas health care system. {fontweight=500:NPP Teams} work with overseas civilian providers, Military Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs), the TRICARE Area Office (TAO), and Combatant Commands (COCOMs), addressing patients’ medical and cultural questions while ensuring a positive experience and quality health care services.</p>
<h4 style="text-align: justify;">How Do NPP Teams Assist TOP Beneficiaries?</h4>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Explain the in-country health care system based on local expertise</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Break down local medical practices and help bridge cultural gaps and nuances </li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Answer medical questions and help to improve patients’ understanding of care</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Provide comprehensive assistance from beginning to end of the patient journey </li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Oversee inpatient admissions and collaborate with others, as appropriate</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Work with local providers to ensure medical records collection and resolution of non-clinical issues</li>
</ul>
<h4 style="text-align: justify;">Where Is the NPP Available and Who Is Eligible for Support?</h4>
<p style="text-align: justify;">{fontweight=500:TRICARE Prime Overseas}<b> </b>and {fontweight=500:TRICARE Prime Remote Overseas}<b> </b>enrolled<b> </b>beneficiaries seeking care in one of the following nine (9) overseas locations around the globe may be eligible for the {fontweight=500:Near Patient Program}<b> </b>(all other overseas locations will continue to be supported by the TOP Regional Assistance Centers):</p>

Please note, you’ll only have access to the “My Local Care Team” section if you meet each of the following requirements:</p>

<li style="text-align: justify;">You are enrolled in one of the above nine (9) overseas locations where the {fontweight=500:NPP} is available</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">You or one of your household members already has a case opened with the TOP</li>
</ul>
